Learn. Cook. Connect.
From certified safety courses to wild game cooking nights and community gatherings — there's always something happening at Carp's Marine.
Required for operators under 26 — and great for everyone.
Michigan law requires boater safety certification for anyone born after July 1, 1996 who operates a motorized vessel. Our state-certified course covers navigation rules, emergency procedures, right-of-way, and responsible boating practices. Hands-on and classroom sessions available.
DNR-approved. Required for first-time hunters.
First-time hunters in Michigan must complete a DNR-approved hunter safety course before purchasing a license. Our program covers firearm handling, wildlife identification, hunting ethics, and Michigan regulations — for both firearm and archery tracks.
From the field and water to the table.
Michigan's outdoors provides incredible ingredients — and our Wild Game Cooking Series teaches you what to do with them. Each session focuses on a different protein: venison, walleye, bass, pheasant, and more. Learn butchering basics, prep techniques, and recipes that do justice to what you've harvested.
Clean it. Cook it. Share it.
Learn proper fish cleaning and filleting technique, then put it to use in a classic Michigan fish fry. Great for new anglers and families. We'll cover the most common Michigan species — walleye, perch, bass, and bluegill — and send you home with skills you'll use every season.
The official kickoff to Michigan's boating season.
Join us for the grand opening of Carp's Marine and the launch of a new Cedar Lake tradition. Live music, food, boat demos, club sign-ups, and a community gathering to celebrate everything great about life on the water.
